PRIVACY POLICY

How CASE//ZERO handles service data.

This page describes the main categories of information used to operate CASE//ZERO. It is written for the current web version of the service and may be updated when features or providers change.

Account information

When you create or use an account, the authentication service may process information such as your email address, account identifier and sign-in session data. CASE//ZERO uses this information to identify your account and associate saved game progress with the correct user.

Gameplay information

The service may store case progress, reviewed evidence, notes, interrogation history, attempt status, scores and related timestamps. This information is used to resume investigations, calculate progress and provide account-level game history.

AI interrogation

Questions submitted during suspect interrogation are sent to the server so the game can generate a response consistent with the case. Interrogation data should not be used to submit passwords, payment card details, government identifiers or other sensitive personal information.

Payments

Payments for optional features are processed through a third-party payment provider. CASE//ZERO does not need to store full card numbers in its game database. The service may store transaction references or entitlement status needed to confirm that an account has purchased an upgrade.

Analytics

CASE//ZERO may record product events such as case opens, evidence reviews, suspect questions, accusation submissions, solved cases and sound settings. These events are used to understand whether the game works correctly and which parts of the experience need improvement.

Advertising and cookies

Google AdSense may be used on eligible public content pages after advertising is approved and enabled. Advertising providers may use cookies or similar technologies subject to their own policies and applicable consent requirements. CASE//ZERO does not intentionally place Google-served ads inside active investigation or post-accusation result screens.

Service providers

The service currently relies on specialist providers for hosting, authentication/database services, payment processing and AI functionality. Those providers process data according to their own terms and privacy obligations when their services are used.

Data security and retention

Reasonable technical controls are used to separate public content from authenticated game data and to keep private server credentials out of browser code. Data may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the account, maintain transaction records, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations.

Your choices

You may choose not to create an account and still read the public CASE//ZERO information pages. Playing investigations requires sign-in because game state is associated with an account. Browser settings and applicable consent tools may provide additional controls over cookies and advertising technologies.
