COLD ROW B
A six-minute fire-suppression alarm blinds part of a Cyberjaya data centre while a hidden compute cluster keeps drawing power behind an account that officially does not exist.
Cold Row B is a high-tech infrastructure mystery combining building controls, data-centre power, optical taps and compliance records. The visual mood is cold, metallic and claustrophobic.
The premise
Cloud security architect Irfan Shah is found dead between two high-density racks after a brief fire-suppression alarm. The gas never discharged, yet several monitoring feeds went blind for exactly six minutes. Irfan had discovered an undeclared compute cluster drawing megawatts under a client code that did not exist in the official capacity plan.
What the player is trying to establish
Reconstruct the six-minute monitoring gap, identify the undeclared compute operation, and prove who used the suppression alarm to kill Irfan and hide a shadow-capacity contract.
Players must distinguish facilities alarms from security commands and connect a hidden compute business to a person who can control both the monitoring gap and the physical hall.
Investigation skills this case rewards
- Building-management log analysis
- Capacity and power reasoning
- Network-path investigation
- Physical trace correlation
Spoiler-free investigation notes
- An alarm can be genuine as an event but deliberate in origin.
- Power draw can expose infrastructure that customer records hide.
- The key suspect must explain both the commercial side agreement and the six-minute physical opportunity.
The playable case uses a fixed solution, cloud-saved progress and a ten-minute attempt window. You will need an account so the investigation state can be saved.
